Even though my deep freezer is full of hotdogs, bags of homemade marinara sauce, and frozen bread from the local outlet, I still couldn’t resist a deal this week on ground turkey ($1.67/lb at Dierberg’s!) With the help of my husband, we packaged 15- 1 pound packages of ground turkey in freezer paper to add to the stockpile. I hadn’t seen a sale like this since January 🙂

Wed, 6/15: Brown Bag Burritos (from the freezer – bumped from last week’s menu)
Thurs, 6/16: Leftovers
Fri, 6/17: Chicken Enchiladas
Sat, 6/18: Hamburger Pizza (with homemade crust)
Sun, 6/19: Lemon Basil Orzotto
Mon, 6/20: Marinated Flank Steak, Baked Potatoes, & Garden Salad
Tues, 6/21: Broiled Salmon with Tomato Relish, Polenta, & Cucumber Salad
Wed, 6/22: Penne a la Vodka (Minus the vodka as we ran out)
Thurs, 6/23: Leftovers
Fri, 6/24: Wildcard!
Sat, 6/25: Homemade Sloppy Joes, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Steamed Corn
We added a “Wildcard” option to our menu which can be an extra leftover day if we need it or if…and only if…for take-out if we have a superb coupon. Sometimes we like to go to the deli section of our favorite grocery and get some chicken salad and bring it home for an easy dinner.
I’m also making the following “extras” this week: Cranberry Iced Tea, Cinnamon Raisin Scones, Blueberry Muffins, and Olive & Sun-Dried Tomato Bread. Yum!
